Marcia A. Hocker, President & Chief Executive Officer

Marcia serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of PENN Capital Management.  Marcia's responsibilities include overseeing PENN’s accounting and financial controls, human resources, and long term business strategy. Prior to founding PENN, Marcia was involved in establishing and managing several businesses in the financial, retail, and service industries. Marcia served on the Board of Directors of a $500 million community bank that was acquired in 1995. Marcia co-founded the Ethel Mae Hocker Foundation which provides scholarship opportunities to students who have demonstrated leadership abilities, academic success, commitment to the community and are in need of financial support. Marcia graduated from Strayer University.

Gerald McBride, CPA, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer & Partner

Gerald joined PENN in January 2007.  Gerald has over twenty years of operational and managerial experience including serving as a Vice President and Controller with the NCO Group, Inc., a leading global provider of business process outsourcing solutions.  Previously, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for twelve years primarily focusing on middle market growth companies.  Gerald is responsible for the oversight of PENN’s finance, operations, technology, and administration functions and serves on PENN's Executive Management Committee.  Gerald received a BA in Accounting from Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kirsten A. Mason, Director of Human Resources and Operations

Kirsten joined PENN in July 2002 as an intern in the Marketing and Client Services area. Kirsten returned to the firm in 2006 as a full time client service associate in the Marketing department. During March of 2008, Kirsten assumed corporate and operational responsibilities as the Director of Human Resources and Operations. Kirsten's specific areas of responsibilities include human resources, business operations, and corporate governance. Kirsten is also active in PENN’s philanthropic activities. She serves as President of the Ethel Mae Hocker Foundation. Kirsten received a BS from Rollins College.

Edward Khongor, CIPM, Controller

Edward joined PENN in December 2003. Prior to PENN, Edward served as a treasurer for the Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia. Edward’s responsibilities include managing the day to day corporate and PENN Funds’ accounting operations. Edward received a BBA in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Finance and Economics of Mongolia and MBA from Wilmington University. Edward is a holder of the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement designation.

Marty P. Keane, Chief Technology Officer & Partner

Marty joined PENN in April 2009 as Vice President of Information Technology. He now serves as Chief Technology Officer. Marty has over 24 years of experience in the engineering and technology industries and holds a number of IT industry certifications. Prior to joining the firm, Marty was Vice President of Business Technology for Rittenhouse Financial Services and later, Vice President of Managed Assets Business Technology for Nuveen Investments. Marty's focus was on developing the strategic vision and tactical application of technology. Marty is an active member of The Money Management Institute and holds various leadership positions within the Technology/Operations Committee. Marty received an AS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Information Technology Management.

John G. Livewell, Chief Compliance Officer

John joined PENN as Chief Compliance Officer in November of 2008. John is responsible for the development, implementation, and review of PENN’s Compliance program. John has been involved in the Regulatory/Compliance field for over 10 years, beginning his career as an Investigator with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange’s Market Surveillance Department. Additionally, John gained valuable experience as a Senior Regulatory Analyst with FINRA and most recently served as Compliance Manager with Commerce Capital Markets, Inc., a Retail and Institutional Broker/Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor in Philadelphia, PA. John received a BSBA, in Finance, from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Finance from Drexel University.

Corinne C. Harvey, Senior Trade Associate & Lead Portfolio Accounting Supervisor

Corinne joined PENN in 1992 and has over 20 years of back-office and trading experience. Prior to PENN, Corinne was employed at PNC Bank in Philadelphia as a trading assistant. Corinne’s responsibilities include the supervision of day to day operations of the portfolio accounting department. Corinne received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Finance from Camden County College.

Ronald T. Burke, Portfolio Accounting Supervisor

Ron joined PENN in March 2007. Prior to joining the firm, Ron gained over eight years of operations and back office experience in the investment management industry at Ashbridge Investment Management and Rittenhouse Nuveen Investments. Ron is responsible for the supervision of the day to day operations of the portfolio accounting department, which includes overseeing the completion of monthly bank reconcilements. Mr. Burke received a BS in Business Administration from Neumann College.
